The brake fluid needs to be changed after some period of time to ensure that it is clean and still effective. Brake fluids are being used to help the brakes to have a good friction. In order for you to successfully change the brake fluid yourself, you will need the following materials:

  • Brake fluid. (clean and new)
  • Brake bleeding kit vacuum
  • Drip pan or a container to put the old brake fluid in
  • A clean rag

Once you already have the necessary materials, you are now ready to change your car's brake fluid.

The first thing that you should do in changing your car's break fluid is to find a good and safe place to work. You will then need to open the hood of the car. Locate the brake fluid cylinder; this is usually located near the engine and at the side of the driver's. Empty the cylinder and change it with the new fluid.
